The ELTE-Corvinus <\/strong>Brussels office represents two of Budapest’s major and most prestigious universities: E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University and Corvinus University of Budapest. ELTE, renowned for its comprehensive academic and research excellence across diverse disciplines, and Corvinus, distinguished as the leading institution for economics, business, and social sciences in Hungary, embody the pinnacle of Hungarian higher education with long-standing histories. This collaborative presence in Brussels amplifies their influence and engagement within the European educational and research landscape.<\/p>\n

\"\"E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University (ELTE)<\/strong> was founded in 1635. It is the largest and the most popular higher education institution in Hungary. As the leading research university in the country, the name of ELTE means knowledge, opportunities, competition, openness and community. It has always considered high-quality research the guarantee of quality in general.<\/p>\n

Research activities at the eight faculties are exceptionally diverse, covering nearly all scientific fields including natural and life sciences, informatics, humanities, educational sciences, law and social sciences. ELTE not only offers first-class education to the international community, but it is also a place where excellent research is undertaken. Research at ELTE is characterised by international collaborations, interdisciplinary approaches, modern laboratory infrastructure, and innovation. Our researchers run cutting-edge projects funded by the European Union and national institutions. Along with international partners, our research groups also establish strong connections with the industry.<\/p>\n

In the past years it has been a central purpose of the university to maintain and promote the diversity of the research portfolio, while it has become increasingly common that our scholars focus their work on specific subjects relating to international trends and current social challenges. The quality and quantity of research is well reflected in the programs of the doctoral schools, covering a broad spectrum of the sciences. The number of highly qualified supervisors in the doctoral schools is also outstanding.<\/p>\n

In 2017 EIT Digital Budapest has become a full Node of EIT Digital European Knowledge Community and ELTE is a key partner in this consortium.\u00a0 ELTE is the pan-European coordinator of the Security and Privacy programme. Since 2019 ELTE participates in the European Universities Initiative as a member of the alliance CHARM-EU<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"Corvinus University of Budapest<\/strong> (Corvinus) is established in 1948, it has evolved into one of the leading universities in the fields of economics, business, and social sciences, offering a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Corvinus is distinguished by its commitment to high academic standards, innovative research, and international collaboration. The core research and teaching activities have been traditionally performed in the areas of Business Management, Economics, Social Sciences and International Relations, while new specialisations are developing dynamically focusing on current issues, such as Sustainable Development, Data Science and Business Informatics.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The academic work is carried out by 4 accredited doctoral schools and 11 Institutes:\u00a0Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems, <\/span>Institute of Operations and Decision Sciences, <\/span>Institute of Sustainable Development, <\/span>Institute of Economics, <\/span>Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences, <\/span>Institute of Global Studies, <\/span>Institute of Finance, I<\/span>nstitute of Strategy and Management, <\/span>Institute of Accounting and Law, <\/span>Institute of Social and Political Sciences, <\/span>Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation,\u00a0<\/span>Doctoral School of Business and Management,\u00a0<\/span>Doctoral School of Economics, Business and Informatics,\u00a0<\/span>Doctoral School of International Relations and Political Science,\u00a0<\/span>Doctoral School of Sociology and Communication Science.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Financial Times, Corvinus Business Programs are European TOP100 listed, while Eduniversal ranks our business programs as the best in Eastern Europe. In 2022 Corvinus has been awarded as the <\/span>most sustainably improved university in the world<\/span><\/b> by UI GreenMetric World Top Ranking.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Corvinus is located in the heart of Budapest. <\/span>Our activities are deeply rooted in the academic community of the Central-European region, while we also take part in several research programmes with many other universities from all around the world, from Central and Eastern Asia to Canada, USA. We have cooperation agreements with more than 300 <\/span>academic institutions on 5 continents.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
