{"id":765,"date":"2018-09-24T13:13:11","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T13:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unilion.eu\/?page_id=765"},"modified":"2024-04-29T13:47:24","modified_gmt":"2024-04-29T11:47:24","slug":"alianza-4-universidades","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.unilion.eu\/?page_id=765","title":{"rendered":"Alliance 4-Universities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Alliance 4-Universities (Alianza 4 Universidades, A4U) is a strategic partnership between four Spanish public and research-intensive universities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uab.cat\/\"><strong>Autonomous University of Barcelona<\/strong><\/a> (UAB)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uam.es\/ss\/Satellite\/en\/home.htm\"><strong>Autonomous University of Madrid<\/strong><\/a> (UAM)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uc3m.es\/Home\"><strong>Carlos III University of Madrid<\/strong><\/a> (UC3M)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\/home\"><strong>Pompeu Fabra University<\/strong><\/a> (UPF)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The A4U\u2019s objectives include promoting the research conducted at the partner universities, primarily in Europe; raising their profiles and enhancing their international reputations by encouraging contacts in countries and areas considered to be strategic priorities; improving mobility options for students, teaching staff and researchers; and promoting quality teaching, with a clear commitment to inter-university degree programmes, programmes in English and online training.<\/p>\n<p>The Brussels office, called OPERA (Office for the Promotion of European Research Activities), works closely with the European Projects Offices at each of the A4U universities and focuses on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Supporting<\/strong> the A4U and its researchers in their efforts to make their research more competitive at the European and international level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Identifying<\/strong> new policies and funding opportunities of interest to the A4U universities and their researchers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participating <\/strong>in and influence European R&amp;D and innovation policymaking.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Providing <\/strong>personalised assistance and working spaces in Brussels to researchers participating in or preparing European projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, OPERA maintains close ties with Spanish institutions and other informal networks in Brussels operating in the field of R&amp;D and innovation.
