Aalborg University is committed to problem based learning, interdisciplinarity and research based innovation.<br \/>\nAalborg University\u2019s ambition is to contribute to the solution of the large challenges faced by society today. Our knowledge must engage with contemporary issues, it must challenge existing paradigms, inspire new discoveries and make a difference.<\/p>\n<p>Aalborg University\u2019s problem based approach to research and education is strong and well founded. Our researchers, students and graduates are well trained in analytical, holistic and problem and solution oriented methods.<br \/>\nAalborg University conducts research in close collaboration between staff, students and partners in the business world and in public institutions. Working with authentic issues implies that the University maintains close contacts with external partners. Aalborg University is characterized by combining a keen engagement in local, regional and national issues with an active commitment to international collaboration.<br \/>\nAalborg University currently consolidates and further develops its profile as a dynamic and innovative research and educational institution oriented towards the surrounding world, which is the focal point of the university\u2019s 2016-2021 strategy: Knowledge for the World.<\/p>\n<p>The University has five faculties: the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering and Science, the Technical Faculty of IT and Design and the Faculty of Medicine, which conducts research in Health Science and Technology (HST).<br \/>\nAalborg University has approximately 23,000 students and approximately 3,000 academic employees. The University is an internationally oriented workplace that attracts researchers and students from around the world. 17% of the employed staff are foreign academic staff and 13% of the total number of enrolled students are international students. 61% are from European countries, 14 % are from the Nordic countries and 9% are from Asia.<br \/>\nIn total Aalborg University offers about 147 master\u2019s programmes and about 87 bachelor\u2019s programmes. Among those the University offers 124 programmes taught in English at either bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s level.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>About Aalborg University\u2019s Brussels Office<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Aalborg University\u2019s Brussels Office is part of The Fundraising and Project Management Office at Aalborg University. The Fundraising and Project Management Office draws on many years of experience with national and European research funding. The Fundraising and Project Management office provides support to the University\u2019s researchers at all levels to target external funding for research and innovation activities at Aalborg University and handles the administrative management of projects.<br \/>\nThe services of The Fundraising and Project Management Office have evolved over the years offering a \u201ccradle-to-cradle\u201d approach where the team is able to offer strategic and proactive research policy support services at the pre-call level, qualified support in the proposal writing phase and professional project management once the researcher is awarded with a grant.
