EOC was established in 2007 by organisations from a wide spectrum of sectors and interests (mainly universities, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus, a number of research institutes and VET centres, as well as the business community in Cyprus).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EOC represents the following Universities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucy.ac.cy\/?lang=en\">University of Cyprus<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cut.ac.cy\/?languageId=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cyprus University of Technology<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ouc.ac.cy\/index.php\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Open University of Cyprus<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.euc.ac.cy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European University Cyprus<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.frederick.ac.cy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Frederick University<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nup.ac.cy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Neapolis University Pafos<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uclancyprus.ac.cy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uol.ac.cy\/en\/\">University of Limassol<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.unic.ac.cy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Nicosia<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aubmed.ac.cy\/Pages\/default.aspx\">American University of Beirut \u2013 Mediterraneo Campus<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyi.ac.cy\/index.php\/cyi\/about-the-institute\/institute-overview.html\">The Cyprus Institute<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntua.gr\/en\/\">National Technical University of Athens<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uth.gr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Thessaly<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.czu.cz\/en\">Czech University of Life Sciences Prague<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>EOC\u2019s mission is to support its members to actively engage at EU level and enhance their participation in EU funding programmes and initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EOC activities are structured as follows (non-exhaustive list):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Information and advice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Timely intelligence on EU legislation, policies and funding programmes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specialised advice on EU policy and funding developments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Representation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Raising profile of members towards EU Institutions and European Stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating strategic alliances for influencing EU policies on R&amp;I, education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Networking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Developing transnational cooperation and strategic partnerships.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building of cooperation and initiatives among EOC members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enhancing our members\u2019 competence in project development and proving support in all stages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organisation of training seminars and brokerage events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The EOC Brussels office collaborates with more than 350 regional representation offices, with European sectoral networks (European Regions Research and Innovation Network \u2013 ERRIN, Informal Group of RTD Liaison Offices \u2013 IGLO, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, EOC is member of the Enterprise Europe Network \u2013 Cyprus (since January 2015), together with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Research Promotion Foundation (RPF) providing integrated support services to Cypriot enterprises wanting to invest in entrepreneurship, knowledge, research, technology and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Research interests: research and innovation (renewable energy, health, agriculture \u2013 food, water, ICT, SSH), education, cultural heritage, tourism.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in EU projects in the fields of education, employment and entrepreneurship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offers hot desk facilities and two meeting rooms located within walking distance of most EU buildings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Office of Cyprus (EOC)&nbsp;is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in Nicosia, with representation offices in Brussels and in Athens.
