{"id":3067,"date":"2023-10-24T17:19:15","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T15:19:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unilion.eu\/?p=3067"},"modified":"2023-11-09T13:52:27","modified_gmt":"2023-11-09T12:52:27","slug":"universities-as-key-players-for-the-success-of-the-new-european-framework-for-research-careers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unilion.eu\/?p=3067","title":{"rendered":"Universities as key players for the success of the New European framework for research careers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 13 July 2023, the European Commission unveiled a set of proposals and measures to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA), including<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 a Council Recommendation that establishes a new European framework for research careers,<br \/>\n\u2022 a new Charter for Researchers, replacing the 2005 Charter and Code for Researchers with new and revised principles<br \/>\n\u2022 and a European Competence Framework for Researchers (ResearchComp).<\/p>\n<p>Universities are the main \u201cproducers\u201d and attractors of research talent. They educate and train the next generation of researchers, and they offer a wide range of research opportunities. They are key players in\u00a0 the innovation ecosystem. They work closely with businesses and other organizations to develop and transfer new technologies to the market. Universities are also engines of economic growth and social development. They attract investment and talent, and they help to create new businesses and jobs.<\/p>\n<p>The European Commission&#8217;s proposal is designed to create a more attractive and supportive environment for research, innovation, and entrepreneurial talent in Europe.
