Founded in 1780, the University of Muenster (WWU) has a remarkable tradition, a proud heritage and a reputation for excellent research and innovation. With 45,000 students, 15 faculties, 7,850 members of staff – including about 600 professors – WWU is one of the largest universities in Germany.
Muenster has developed a strong research profile in natural sciences, humanities, medicine, law and business administration. It offers a choice of over 280 degree courses covering an exceptional broad range of subjects. WWU is involved in numerous international research collaborations with over 550 partnership agreements with universities and other academic institutions all over the world.
