Working Groups

Working Groups

UnILiON has established a number of working groups, allowing for deeper discussion among members of the various topics that fall within the remit of the network. Currently, the following working groups have been set up.

To be added to the mailing list of a working group, UnILiON members can contact the chairs of the respective working groups.


Horizon Europe & Future policy

Objectives:

  • Monitor the development and implementation of the new EU framework programme for research and innovation 2021-2027 – Horizon Europe – and to exchange experiences on how best to engage with it as universities.
  • Monitor the development of related policy topics, for example the European Research Area and the Future Universities in Europe.

European Research Council

Objective:

  • To act as a platform for exchange of expert knowledge in ERC related topics (grants, logic, working procedures) and of relevant good practices.

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

Objectives:

  • Follow the development of MSCA in the last Work Programme of Horizon 2020 and their progression to Horizon Europe.
  • Share knowledge on the effective participation in MSCAs in order to enhance each others’ experience and success rate.
  • Prepare joint proposals to the MSCAs where relevant.

Synergies

Objectives:

  • Monitor the development and implementation of the synergies between European funding schemes for education, research and innovation.
  • Exchange experiences on how best to engage with synergy opportunities as universities.
  • Draft explanatory documents on synergies for the UnILiON members.

Innovation

Objective:

  • Provide a forum for UnILiON universities to exchange and discuss best practice in innovation, proactively identify opportunities for cooperation (including projects) and become recognised as a key channel through which policymakers and key stakeholders can engage with UnILiON on these issues.
